My Make-Up Brush Cleaning Routine

I have looked around for so much information on how to wash make-up brushes. But I have discovered a very simple routine which I swear by.

First of all, cleaning your make-up brushes is a very important part of your skin care and make-up application. It is vital to do your make-up with clean brushes. I have to admit i

t, I don't wash my make-up brushes every week, but this is because I wear make-up only on the weekends, so every other weekend I will give them a clean.

I have also purchased the make-up brush cleanser from No7 for my brushes, it is a very good product, but for some reason I don't feel like it's cleaning the brushes up to my standards and my liking. I have only used this product once, i don't use it anymore so I will probably be selling it on my Depop which I will probably post it up on our Instagram page or I might even do a small post about it on here.

Carrying on, I have a small set of make-up brushes. Most of them are Real Technique brushes, but that's because I received one set as a Christmas present from my brother ( I obviously asked for it!). I do have a Bobbi Brown eye shadow brush, an eye shadow brush from Marsk (received it in my October's GlossyBox), Primark kabuki brush (I'm in love with it) and the rest are Real Techniques. Oh! I forgot.. I do own a blusher brush from The Bodyshop and Avon however I stopped using the one from the Bodyshop at the moment, no particular reason, I just use the Avon's brush instead. I love both of them, but at the moment I'm having more of a relationship with the Avon brush.

So moving on to the actual reason I am writing this post, is because I want to share my make-up brush cleaning routine.

1. I get a huge salad bowl and fill 1/3 with warm water.

2. I then pour about 3 table spoons of Baby Johnson's shampoo and swirl it around so it foams up just a little bit.

3. I drop all of my brushes into the warm soapy water and leave them to soak it up for about 5 minutes.

4. I have recently purchased a Brushegg to give my brushes a more deeper cleanse, so I start swirling each brush onto the Brushegg bumpy bit. I use the bigger part of it for bigger brushes and smaller part for smaller brushes.

5. Once all brushes have been given a really good cleanse I rinse them under warm water.

6. Once all the brushes are free of the soapy water, I dip them in any conditioner or hair mask and leave it in for about 10/15 minutes, to give that very soft bristle feeling.

Giving my brushes a very good 'hair' treatment like I would give my own hair.

7. I then rinse the hair mask/conditioner with warm water and I make sure that I drain 90% of the water out of the bristles.

8. I lay them out on a dry towel and leave them to dry out over night.

9. Once they are dry, they are good go and be used to apply our make up.

So this is the routine for cleaning my brushes. I have cleaned them this way many times before and I have never been disappointed. Anyone can try this at home and if you ladies don't like it, use another routine. It's OK!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you found this very useful and I will speak to you all later.

Until next time, girls!

Maybelline Master Duo Eyeliner

Hola!

First of all, let me just start this off by saying that I am not a fan of eye-liners and not a "Cat Eye" pro, but I am willing to warm up to this idea and learn how to do the perfect 'Cat Eye look'.
As you may guess from previous posts, us Girls Online we like to shop at our favourite drug store 'Boots' and not long ago I made a visit for some other essentials but definitely not an eye-liner. I was just strolling along the make-up counters and was checking out new products, when I came across Maybelline's Master Duo eye-liner, it's a liquid eye-liner with a wand applicator....

Let's just say that I was quite impressed as the applicator was very different from the usual ones (in a good way), the applicator looked like it would do the job easier when drawing a 'Cat Eye' or just a simple line. I also applied the product on the back of my hand and it looked like it would do the job as the consistency of the liquid felt and looked very promising. So, as already you may have guessed I purchased the eye-liner and I didn't use it for about a month.. Well this is because I don't use eye-liner and I am afraid of using it, which is very silly, I know...

So, for some reason yesterday I got a huge urge to try out the eye-liner and this time, properly try it out and all I have to say is that I was very disappointed. I literally wasted about £6 or £7.. The wand which I really liked in the beginning did what it was supposed to do, with this wand I was able to draw a thicker and a thinner line with just a turn of the wand. However, the liquid dried quickly and with only one stroke it was impossible to fully cover the line, it would leave streaks and it would dry too quickly, meaning that going over the the existing line would cake up and the substance would crumble, even though the eyeliner came of very easily which is always a positive, it's also good when it comes off easily with a make-up wipe not by rubbing your eye with fingers... For me this product was a big NO NO!

So I will upload some pictures below, so that you guys can see how the product looks.

Ugne's Skincare

Hello loves,💕
From the minute I open my eyes and check myself out in the mirror "yes I do that" I usually then like to take care of my skin and I do that by firstly washing it with warm water then I lightly dry it with face towel and I then apply scrub which is by Skin Logy and it's a scrub with tea tree essential oils it is very gentle but it gets the work done and after washing the scrub off I then simply pat my face dry with the same towel and then move on to moisturising which I use No7 day cream although it is not a moisturiser it is still amazing cream it is very creamy and quite heavy but I only apply a dab of it on my T-zone and cheeks since it is winter I don't want to get a frost bite on my precious chubby cheeks :) after I moisturise I move on to doing my make-up as you can see, my skin care in the morning is not much. So after a hard day I really like to pamper my skin,  I personally like to believe that when you forget to take of your make up and you sleep with your make up on that will most likely cause your skin to break out and be very naughty to you. So I always and I mean ALWAYS take off my make-up if I am like extremely tired for example after a night of work or party I usually only reach for the make-up removal wipes ,although it gets the job done it is not the best option :) but if I have time I then really like to pamper my skin and really nourish it by taking off all my make up with make-up removal liquid I use the one from "The Body Shop" it is with camomile extract and it is really gentle on my skin because of how soft it is but the best part about this product is that it removes all your make up and leaves no trace of it on your skin.

I then like to use my Skin Therapy cleanser and toner occasionally.  I would change up my toners and use my Skin Logy toner which is much much stronger then the Skin Therapy one but I like it more because it can really help to clear up my skin especially my T-zone.I then like to apply my No7 night cream which is a bit more lighter than the day cream but it takes longer for the skin to absorb it.

Now this is a new product I got only few days ago it is Garnier Micellar cleansing toner which is a very similar toner to Bioderma water cleanser but much cheaper and you get a lot more.So when I got this product I though oh well it is Garnier so it is bound to be good and YES my expectations did not disappoint me it is extremely good and gentle on your skin plus it is a toner a cleanser and make up remover liquid amazing huh.,...? I am definitely going to be repurchasing this bad boy after I am done using the ones I am currently using.

Another product I will be definitely adding to my skin care is the No7 foaming cleanser that was recommended by the lovely Girl Online "Vaiva" it is an amazing foaming cleanser and I never had a foaming cleanser before so I have nothing to compare it to but I can definitley say it works wonders on my skin it is light and makes me shine which may sound that it is wrong for my skin but it definitley puts me in a good mood if my skin is smooth.

So here is my full skin care all I can say girls is that you have to take care of your skin no matter if you are covered in acne or have smooth and amazing skin because it is better to prevent pimples and ageing wrinkles rather than try to hide those things. I personally never really cared if I had a pimple or my forehead was covered in spots I would plaster it with concealer and foundation and would be fine with it ,but later on I realised what damage I was causing to my skin and started to take care of my skin, of course it took time but now I am very happy with the results and I am only going to add to my skin care as I grow.

The Lush "squeaky green"shampoo bar

Hello loves,
So here i am writing my review on the Lush product that i got few days ago!💕
As i said before it is a shampoo but in a bar soap form, when I got it I was very skeptical about it as I thought it would not lather up properly and it would be very hard to use.BUT when I used it for the first time I could not believe myself it was absolutely a dream to use very easy to apply and lathers up perfectly the hair becomes soft and it gives a chance for your natural hair to show :) I usually have very wavy and knotted hair after I wash them and when I brush them out they become frizzy and it just looks horrible , after using the lush shampoo they were soft had bouncy waves and when I brushed them out they were easy to work with and had up to 70% less frizz.
Here are few pics of after-

Sorry no make-up here but "could not be bothered" it was Sunday which is lazy day for me usually :).

Here is a pic from a handbook they give at lush and it's all about the shampoo I got the ingredients and how they work on you hair and scalp.

Hope you all enjoyed 💕

Bourjois paris - Unifying Powder Healthy Balance 10 Hrs Matt Finish & Natural Healthy Glow

Hello Beauties,

So... I can finally say that I have found the perfect pressed powder for my skin, which makes my face look healthy and glowy, it also gives that airbrushed effect.

The first time I have applied this powder I was instantly satisfied as it just cleared the oily effect the skin sometimes has. What is even more great about this powder, is that you only need to dab a very small amount onto your powder brush to get great coverage.

This powder has a faint fruity smell which is very pleasant when applying, there is no need for the nose scrunching at any time. I have had previous pressed powders which had that distinctive smell to them and it wasn't pleasant to use, even though they were of a good quality. But this powder really impressed me, as I was not able to find any negatives.

Just to let you know, ladies, my skin is quite problematic. I have combination skin, oily T-zone and dry cheeks and nose and so it is very hard for me to find good cosmetics to suit my skin type. And even though this product doesn't specify the skin type it is for, it definitely suits mine, which I am over the moon about.

The quality of this product is very rich and it is very long lasting. I don't have to worry about my skin absorbing the foundation and leaving no traces of it when on a night out and being sweaty from dancing the night away. This is probably one of the biggest nightmares of ours for when we're on a night out. Applying this powder will reassure you for the whole night you are out that you will have flawless looking skin and will look beautiful and glowy.
