My Make-Up Brush Cleaning Routine

I have looked around for so much information on how to wash make-up brushes. But I have discovered a very simple routine which I swear by.

First of all, cleaning your make-up brushes is a very important part of your skin care and make-up application. It is vital to do your make-up with clean brushes. I have to admit i

t, I don't wash my make-up brushes every week, but this is because I wear make-up only on the weekends, so every other weekend I will give them a clean.

I have also purchased the make-up brush cleanser from No7 for my brushes, it is a very good product, but for some reason I don't feel like it's cleaning the brushes up to my standards and my liking. I have only used this product once, i don't use it anymore so I will probably be selling it on my Depop which I will probably post it up on our Instagram page or I might even do a small post about it on here.

Carrying on, I have a small set of make-up brushes. Most of them are Real Technique brushes, but that's because I received one set as a Christmas present from my brother ( I obviously asked for it!). I do have a Bobbi Brown eye shadow brush, an eye shadow brush from Marsk (received it in my October's GlossyBox), Primark kabuki brush (I'm in love with it) and the rest are Real Techniques. Oh! I forgot.. I do own a blusher brush from The Bodyshop and Avon however I stopped using the one from the Bodyshop at the moment, no particular reason, I just use the Avon's brush instead. I love both of them, but at the moment I'm having more of a relationship with the Avon brush.

So moving on to the actual reason I am writing this post, is because I want to share my make-up brush cleaning routine.

1. I get a huge salad bowl and fill 1/3 with warm water.

2. I then pour about 3 table spoons of Baby Johnson's shampoo and swirl it around so it foams up just a little bit.

3. I drop all of my brushes into the warm soapy water and leave them to soak it up for about 5 minutes.

4. I have recently purchased a Brushegg to give my brushes a more deeper cleanse, so I start swirling each brush onto the Brushegg bumpy bit. I use the bigger part of it for bigger brushes and smaller part for smaller brushes.

5. Once all brushes have been given a really good cleanse I rinse them under warm water.

6. Once all the brushes are free of the soapy water, I dip them in any conditioner or hair mask and leave it in for about 10/15 minutes, to give that very soft bristle feeling.

Giving my brushes a very good 'hair' treatment like I would give my own hair.

7. I then rinse the hair mask/conditioner with warm water and I make sure that I drain 90% of the water out of the bristles.

8. I lay them out on a dry towel and leave them to dry out over night.

9. Once they are dry, they are good go and be used to apply our make up.

So this is the routine for cleaning my brushes. I have cleaned them this way many times before and I have never been disappointed. Anyone can try this at home and if you ladies don't like it, use another routine. It's OK!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you found this very useful and I will speak to you all later.

Until next time, girls!

GlossyBox August 2015: Unboxing and First Impressions

It has taken me quite a while to finally commit to subscribing to GlossyBox. I was hesitating a lot, whether it was worth subscribing monthly and whether the products are worth the value. Well, I watched enough YouTube videos to make my mind up and I decided to get the monthly subscription which is £10 + 3.25 P&P.

Enough of this talk and lets start unboxing August's GlossyBox. So excited! (aaaaaa!)

So this is how the actual GlossyBox looks when it comes out of the parcel packaging. I didn't take a picture of the actual parcel just because it has my address on it and I didn't think you guys would want to see that. I was very, very pleased to see how good of a quality the box was. It was of a hard cardboard which means you could easily use it for storage after taking out all the products and everything else in the box.

Moving on, when I opened the box I just kept smiling, because it's very clear to see that every box they pack and wrap, they all take extra care in doing so, as they are packaged very neatly. The sugar paper and the little bow (which is not in the picture, because my mother took it off :( ) wrapped around it, just looks so girly and glamorous. I couldn't wait to open the sugar paper and see what was inside! Also, the information leaflet on top, as I like to call it a cosmetics menu is very useful to look at. This is because you can see what's inside the box, it tells you what brand it is, where it's from, what the product does and how much it costs. Very handy! I decided to kind of collect them and put them in a little binder, or make it like a little book.

After looking at the brochure I opened up the sugar paper to see what goodies I was sent for August! Aaaaaaand I was extremely happy with every product I received, especially when it had four full sized products, just wow!

Here is a list of all the products, that were in the box and brief descriptions.

1. MeMeMe LIPGLIDE IN PLAYFUL PEACH

"The coral hue of this matte-velvet chubby lip crayon suits everyone and it's an ideal travel companion. Easy to apply on-the-go, it offers a hydrating, high-pigment colour that lasts all day."

Full-size £6.95 shop at www.mememecosmetics.com

First Impressions: I have already tried applying this product on my lips and I was very, very surprised. First of all, it was too easy to apply it, it wasn't sticky after application and it stays on for quite a long time. It is very creamy with a matte finish and very, very pigmented.

2. Manna Kadar LASH PRIMER

"Hailing from the US, this creamy gel formula is my new summer staple. It works to nourish your lashes thanks to the inclusion of vitamin B12, in turn leaving them conditioned and voluminous. What's more, you can layer it under mascara for an enhanced final effect."

Full-size £14.55 shop at mannakadaracosmetics.com

First Impressions: I have to be completely honest, so I will be. I haven't tried this product yet, but I will be using this for sure. The actual package is very cute and professional. The actual product is not very big, which can easily fit in a purse and it doesn't take uo a lot of space in a make-up bag. The actual brush applicator looks very much like a mascara brush, it should seperate the lashes very well, I will let you know once I try it out!

3.Emite ARTIST COLOUR POWDER BLUSH

"In May we asked blush or bronzer? You voted, we listened and now we're pleased to pop this blush/bronzer hybrid (we've coined it a 'blunzer') in your box. Hailing from pro-inspired Swedish brand Emite, it adds warmth to your complexion and lightly contours."

Full-size £20.59 shop at www.emitemakeup.com

First Impressions: I didn't get to try this product out either, however I tested out the pigmentation and the colour by dabbing and swiping my finger across the 'blunzer'. The texture is extremely creamy and light and the pigmentation is insane. So, I decided that I will not be using this product as the pigmentation is absolutely amazing, but the actual product is very, very dark in colour. Meaning, that the colour of this product is way too dark for my skin colour. I will not be throwing this product away, I will re-gift it or just simply give it to a friend.

4. Noabay CALMING FACE TONER

"This Spanish brand is top of our list for luxury natural products that look smart on your bathroom shelf. This citrus-scented liquid toner ticks four requirements, removing traces of make-up while also cleansing, calming and hydrating skin thanks to chamomile and gotu kola extracts. Plus it's 99.13% natural."

Full-size £10.65 shop at www.comprarcosmetica.es

First Impressions: I think this is my favourite product out of all five that I received. I cannot describe what wonders this miracle toner does to my skin. First time I used this toner, I couldn't believe how light it felt. It just feels like cleaning your face with water, like I know most toners they have this oily texture to them, but this feels just like water, so it really is suitable for any type skin. This doesn't dry out the skin or make it even more oily, This product I believe is not scented, however I can still scent a smell of berries, a very slight scent, but maybe it's just me! LOL..  I think I will be purchasing this again, once I finish this bottle. This came in a full size which I am extremely surprised.

SASS PURIFYING CLEANSER

"This gentle formula ensures you stay shower-fresh all day. It works as a probiotic to balance skin's PH levels, all while cleansing and energising - gently apply to the body in the shower and rinse with fresh water."

Full-size £7.00 shop at www.boots.com

First Impressions: Once again, I haven't had time to try this product out. I also don't really believe in the intimate cleansers and I have never tried one out before, so I don't know the effects and how it works.I believe, that this is also unscented which is good for the intimate areas of ours as they are very delicate.

As I have calculated the total of this box, the total came up to £59.74. I have only paid £10 + £3.15 PP for this monthly subscription box. I mean, this will save me more money each month, than going to any drug store and purchasing a lot of things I do not need!

I am obsessed! :)

www.glossybox.co.uk

Thank you for reading this very long post, I hope you enjoyed it and I hope it maybe helped some of you make up your minds about subscribing for this monthly subscription box. You can also purchase a one off, if you don't want to commit and you are not sure about this.

Once again, thank you for reading this and don't forget to follow us on all social media platforms!

See you soon, ladies!

Eveline 8in1 Total Action Concentrated Eyelash Serum Intensive Care Rebuilding: Review

My first reaction and result of using Eveline's 8in1 Total Action Concentrated Eyelash Serum Instensive Care Rebuilding.

I have found this serum accidentally on the internet, to be precise on Ebay, as I was looking for another bottle of Eveline 8in1 Total Action Intensive Nail Conditioner to buy. I came across this lash serum and instantly felt the urge to buy it. I wanted to get this item because the same series nail polish as mentioned above, has really improved the condition of my nails, baring in mind that I never had strong, long nails ever. So I clicked a few buttons, entered in my card details and purchased this item, putting quite a lot of hope in it and because I ordered it from Hungary (I think)... It didn't reach my letter box until couple of weeks after the purchase, however I was still very much excited about it.

When I received the item, the paper packaging was squashed, but that doesn't matter to me as long as the actual product and it's packaging is fine and the product is usable. Once I inspected the item I couldn't wait to try it. The product consistency is white and very creamy, which I am not bothered about at all. In the instructions it says: this serum can also be used before applying mascara, however said nothing about leaving it on over night and so on... So I took matters in to my own hands and that night before going to sleep, after I cleansed and moisturized my face I applied the the serum on my lashes. The white consistency leaves the lashes white, and the illusion of being longer. I knew that these type of products need a bit of time to work and that is not an instant thing, so I used it for a solid month, I am not gonna lie, I did miss a few days where I didn't apply the serum, but hey, that's life!

The actual applicator is the same as a plastic mascara brush, I loved it! It separated my lashes very well, prepared the lashes well for the mascara if I ever wore mascara after that. The product itself doesn't become clumpy with this brush and it doesn't stick your lashes together. Also, what I have noticed is that if you apply quite a fair amount of product on your lashes, they become white and the color stays until you have a shower or wash your face, but if you apply only a little amount of the product on to your lashes, then the product blends in with the color of your lashes. I wasn't really going by the book so every time I applied a fair amount of the product. My lashes didn't have any side effects because of the application of more product, a bit naughty of me, but oh well, actually did me rather a good job!

So after a month of applying the product almost every day, putting mascara on for the first time after a few weeks shocked me! My lashes looked super long and this is without the prime layer of the serum before mascara. My mum even noticed that my lashes have grown, and it is visibly clear to see that the lashes are longer than they've ever been before.

Because I'm a lazy chick, I haven't used it for about a month and I am wanting to get back on it, which I will do. I will be posting pictures before and after, now. Even though my lashes are quite long with mascara on, I will still use the serum to revitalize my lashes and condition them, no harm in doing that. So after about a month or longer I will post pictures on Instagram to show the improvement. I will also be leaving pictures of the products below and links to ebay accounts which sell these products.

Hope you enjoyed reading this review, I will be posting a few other posts inc. 20 min Moisturising Feet Mask with Argan Oil, GlossyBox opening and firs reactions September 2015, Borjuois 24H Eyshadow: Review and hopefully many more.

No7 Product review!

Hello Loves,
So today I am going to tell you why you should get up run to boots or superdrug and get these amaizing products that I am going to tell you about.(it's on offer 3 for the price of 2)

I am still a beginner when it comes to skin care and No7 products and I am still experimenting to find the products that most suit my skin and me.
Over time I collected few of the vouchers from boots so I decided it was time to go and treat myself for the summer! So ladies lets get into the review shall we!

First is an eye makeup remover.
If I get lazy I just use wipes that also removes eye makeup, but most days I try to really work on my skin and try to nourish it and that's why I decided to splurge if you would call that and get a bit of an upper brand eye makeup remover this specific one is oil based (which I did not read before using it) so you only need few drops on your cotton ball to take off all your eye makeup off.
Now oil based products are tricky to learn how to use but once you get the hang of it you will love it.Oil based formula works in a way that it will cover your used product "mascara" and the oils will break down the product and that's when you can easily slide the cotton ball across your eye and the makeup will just rub off onto the cotton ball leaving you makeup free. But what i discovered soon was that the remover totally did almost nothing I had to rub the cotton ball on my eyes for a while and most of the mascara was still on the lashes it also made my eye area sticky and itchy, so I guess I would say try it if you have vouchers and can get this product for half price because it is defenetly not worth the full price.

Next we have a cleanser for sensitive skin as I mentioned before skin care is still new to me so I have never had much experience with it but I swear with this product my skin changed it became much softer, smoother and almost blemish and pimple free! So I was so happy with this product and I would defenetly recommend.

Last but defenetly not least is the soft and gentle toner which is an amazing product it is gentle and I think alcohol free it also has a very subtle fragrance to it.It removes every dirt or makeup particle with a gentile wipe and works wondets for my skin type (which is combination).

Thank for reading

Miracle Nail Growth!

Hi Girls,

As this is my first blog after coming back, It took me a few days to figure out what I wanted to write about. How I wanted to draw your attention and what tips I wanted to share with you guys. So, if you're a girl, who has brittle, thin, weak, chipping nails carry on reading...

Since I started growing up and taking care of the way I look, I always felt unhappy about my nails, so to make myself happy and have nice looking hands and nails I would get false nails done (acrylics & gel).. Even though false nails do look beautiful, they truly make your nails very weak and unhealthy and if they're not properly taken care of, on some occasions I have heard that some girls get mold and fungus underneath the false nail. To be very honest with you all, I loved having false nails, all the different designs, colours and them always being long and hardly ever braking.. However, they ruined my nails, once I took them off after nearly a year of having them, my nails were paper thin, I had to have them very short because my nails kept on braking and chipping.

Having long nails was my dream, the same as having long hair so I kept trying different things, by things I meant different branded strengthening nail polishes, they would only work during the period of applying, once I stopped my nails used to go back to the way they were - brittle and thin. So I kept asking my friends if they knew any nail products which help strengthen the nails and once friend had recommended a nail polish, however I didn't buy it and didn't use it.

After quite some time, nearly a year, I went back home and saw my best friend and I was very shocked to see how long her nails were, I mean, she naturally has quite strong nails, but her nails very super, super long! So, when I asked her how she grew her nails so long and strong and she told me a secret, she gave me a secret potion for nails which her and her mum swear by! Funnily enough the secret potion is the potion my friend recommended to me a year ago which I never used, because I lost hope. So my best friend, being very kind, gave me the secret potion as a small gift and told me to try it.

Once I got back home and started using it, I was amazed on how quickly my nails got stronger and how quickly they grew. I was very satisfied with the result and happy, all of the girls I know were asking me how I grew my nails that long and strong. I actually finished the first bottle in about 4 months and purchased a second once and I am still using it. I can confidently say, that my nails grew long and strong in about a month, but because they needed a lot of attention after being suffocated by false nails I keep using it. The best thing about it, after applying a few coats,  your nails start to look like they have French Manicure, which is very classy and beautiful and goes along wiht any outfit and look.

So.... The secret potion I keep bragging on about is.......

Eveline 8 in 1 Total Action nail polish
The instruction is very clear and simple:

- Apply one coat every day for three days.
- On the fourth day, remove nail polish & apply again.

Once you get in to a routine it becomes very normal and a part of you of applying the nail polish everyday. Especially once  you start seeing the results.

Before:
 After:

I now swear by this product and will always use it, if I feel like my nails are getting weaker. There are also many other different types of Eveline nail polishes which I haven't tried, but I have purchased one other to try and waiting for it to come through. This nail polish is called Eveline Diamond Hard and Shiny Nails.

I cannot give you any update on this particular nail polish because it hasn't been delivered yet, but I am sure that it will do wonders, I will let you know after finishing the whole bottle! :)

Here is the link to many different Eveline brand nail polishes, which renew your nails instantly. A true miracle!

I have also purchased a serum for lashes, but unfortunately it hasn't been delivered yet, once I receive the product and use it for a month, I will let you all know about it, but here's how it looks and a link below, where I purchased it. I truly believe in this brand, it does what it says and I will continue purchasing these branded products.

So, girls, I hope you liked reading this and it made you consider purchasing this product. (I'm not trying to sell this, FYI). Please tell me if you have bought it and you liked it, it would make my day!

Binge eating!

Hello Loves!
I wanted to write something beauty related today but decided not to.I am going to talk about binge eating disorder (consuming large quantities of food in a short amount of time) to make it more clear ,binge eating ususally means junk food overload and simply having no control of what is happening.

So this is my story!
I don't know when it began but i guess somewhere between age of 14, it started of as simple as buying a large bag of chips (crisps) that is ment to be a sharing pack but was being consumed only by me, I didn't realise I was doing something wrong because I would consume that bag of chips or a large container of cookies and feel fine no guilt or anything  (guilt  is a big part of binge disorder) but it didn't end there the amount of food increased very slowly but it increased over time. Usually it turned into a late night snacking and then late night binging. I never understood what was wrong nor did I wanted to until one day I felt very guilty and disgusted with myself and that's when I knew something wasn't right and I should stop! And eventually I stopped binge eating but the nightly cravings didn't stop and I continued to eat mainly at night. And here I am today sitting here with a bag of sun-bites a bag of M&Ms and two packs of eclairs all consumed within a span of 10 minutes and that is why I am writing this blog, Binge eating is a very dangerous disease and that turns into a disorder without any signs or any consequences, but I am now understanding where this is all coming from its the fact that I didn't have proper nutrition I needed for today I keep up with clean eating and today all I had was a bowl of rice but never the less I worked out for a good 90 min so no wonder I was craving nutrition but instead my head made a very stupId decision over clouded by my disorder I am now clear of what is happening and I am fully understanding, because I know my body, I listen to my body, but now I gotta start listening to my mind as well, "happiness is a choice" and I choose it now I got to choose to understand my mind better and learn how to control this disorder .

At the end of the day I guess my goal is to at least help myself with this and to understand why this is happening!
This was an extremely raw and personal post I hope I can help someone and big thank you for reading our blog!

This is very undetailed story and very short but it's the first step I have never been diagnosed professionally but by doing my research I came to a conclusion of what it is.But it is a very hard and mentally challenging story because I am ashamed of it and I am trying to overcome it so please bare with me.

So Sorry!

Hello ladies,

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting here at all.

This is not because I have lost interest, or because I don't want to do it any more, this is not true!

I stopped writing and posting, due to personal reasons and I feel very ashamed that I couldn't make more of an effort to to write one or two posts, as there have been a lot of exciting and new things happening in my life. New products purchased, tried and liked.

I sincerely apologise for abandoning this blog for many months, but hopefully I will get back in to it slowly, knowing I have more time on my hands as the summer has arrived!

Today, I am doing a presentation on something I am passionate about and I thought of this blog. Writing posts helps me to relax and refresh my mind. The minute I typed in to Google 'Girlsonlinexo' and opened the link to this blog, I started to feel butterflies in my belly. I instantly felt guilty for abonding it for so long. I want to apologise to Ugne, my wonderful friend who kept it up and even though she was absent for a while, she still managed to post a few posts, I am so proud of that girl!

So you guys and this blog are my inspiration, my passion and a thing I love to do - write!

From today, you will be seeing more and more posts about various different subjects, from beauty to health which is very important to both me and Ugne.

I hope you do forgive me girls and I promise not to abandon this blog again.

Yours sincerely

Health

Hello Loves,
So as the title states I will be talking about Health but not only physical health as important as that is mental health is the most important treasure you have.
There is a quate that I love "your body can do anything it's the brain that stops you" and that couldn't be more true! There is a study that was being done    proving that if the brain stopped recieving and communicating the chemical neurons we would be able to do things such as bite of our own finger feeling no pain but since the neuro chemicals are working sadly we are unable to perform action as such.Okay enough with all the scientific facts lets get to business :)

I personally never had any mental problems but as I grew I realized that I am not happy although I had everything family ,friends I was dressed and fed and had a roof over my head but somehow I still felt sad and just not happy and I could not understand why ,so I just pushed all those feelings to the back of my mind and finally it all got too much i reached my breaking point and I couldn't handle myself .So I went into a down rode spiral and I could not see a happy ending for myself and sadly I got no help so again I gathered myself together and pushed those feelings back down again until just recently I founds myself in the same place of sadness and confusion again yet this time I knew I had to solve this once and for all so as stupid as it may sound now I sat myself down switched off my phone and though hard and long about what the hell is happening to me and finally it occurred to me that I am not doing anything with my life all I do is study get home and waist my time on the internet.
I knew it all had to stop I had to find something I love and i did.I started off by thinking what could improve my health that led me to thinking about gym but then again I am not too good at running or any other physical activity so I turned to the only thing that could actually saved me and that was the biggest regret I ever made which was dropping  swimming so I decided to get back into it and I did I am now fully on a team having 4 practices a week plus gym which makes me happy although I may never be an Olympian swimmer at least I will always know that I didn't give up so that alone makes me happy. After all that I have no free time what so ever between juggling college a part time job and practices I have 0 time to myself or others around me but you know what I am happy I wake up with a smile on my face and I go to bed satisfied I may have no energy or I may be sore but I am happy I study hard I work out harder and my rewards are endless I feel good and I am happy I wouldn't want it any other way.

So my advice is that girls if you are not happy with yourself please please take care of that do whatever makes you happy and please don't stop until you are staisfied and In a way of doing that you will come to a conclusion "HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE " so please choose to be happy choose to smile every morning because you are all so worth it!

With all the love Ugne xo
